INNOLEA is one of the Erasmus plus program projects, it aims to fill an apparent gap in the area of specialized services for the leather sector with the establishment of four leather centers in local universities, two in Jordan and two in Egypt, utilizing the experience and expertise of EU partners in the area of services for the leather sector.

Where the leather testing lab was established at Al-Balqa Applied University - Faculty of Engineering and Technology with funding from the Erasmus + program after a team from the university undergo training program. The center activities that will It includes professional training courses for students, as well as a consulting center or the local sector interested in leather manufacturing and providing a quality certificate for leather products after testing the quality of these products in the laboratory, and the purpose of this is to improve the quality of leather products in Jordan and increase the demand for the leather industry.
